Our homes are places to stay, not the venue: the getting-ready morning, the family dinner the night before, the slow breakfast the day after. Most aren’t licensed event venues, so plan the ceremony and reception at your venue and use the house for everything around it.

Wedding weekend questions
Can we hold the ceremony or reception at the house?
Usually not: our homes are rentals to stay in, and most aren’t licensed event venues. House rules differ from home to home — some allow gatherings with conditions, some allow no parties or events — and each home’s rules are on its booking page. Tell us what you’re planning before you book and we’ll give you a straight answer for that home.
Can you hold dates while we decide?
Ask us. For wedding stays a person manages the calendar with you, and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hold your dates and for how long.
Can our guests stay in more than one home?
Yes. Some of our homes are in the same community — in Hammonds Plains near Halifax, and in Chester Basin on the South Shore — so the wedding party and the family can stay close together. Tell us the headcount and we’ll suggest homes that work together.
How does payment work?
Each home is booked and paid for on its own, so the couple, the parents and the wedding party can each book and pay for a house. If one person is covering several homes, tell us when you plan it.
